We need volunteers of all types, not just car people. If you have a heart for people in need, here are some of the ways you can get involved:

Car repairs: Form a team, or be part of a team, that helps refurbish donated cars. All skill levels are needed from oil changes to brakes pads, water pumps, etc.

Car cleanup: Are you a detail person? Then you can find a place helping evaluate applications for cars, conducting face-to-face interviews with potential recipients, or recruiting and coordinating volunteers.

People: Many of the people we serve are in need of building new and/or more meaningful relationships. In some cases something as basic as having someone to talk to can provide a big boost.

Classes: Organize and teach a class. The people we serve often lack some basic life-skills. Classes in budgeting, how to get and hold a job, car maintenance, etc. can make the difference between success and failure.

Fund raising: Help plan, organize, coordinate, conduct, or participate in fund raising events and fund raising campaigns.

Marketing: Help tell the Garageworks Outreach story through video, newsletters, brochures, flyers, the media and other ways.
